We now are offering two collectable .999 pure silver Tactical Black Challenge coins and the ability to make them into awesome pure silver rings! This ring starts out as a 1 Troy oz .999 fine silver coin straight from the mint! From there each ring is made with a slow heating and folding process that ensures as much detail as possible stays on the ring inside, and outside! After the ring is finished, it is given an antique finish to make all the lettering and design really pop. This limited run only has 50 minted coins each, so pick one up while they last! What exactly is a challenge coin? Read below for a short story:

A well-known story about the emergence of the challenge coin dates back to World War I. At that time, an officer gave his men bronze medallions featuring the insignia of their flying squadron. Not long after that, a young pilot was shot down and captured.
Germans are said to have removed everything from the pilots person except for a pouch he was wearing -- one that held his medallion. After he escaped to France, he was sentenced to die, as the French labeled him a spy. However, the ace presented his medallion as proof of his identity.
Because one of the French soldiers recognized the insignia, France delayed the ace's execution. After his identity was confirmed, the ace was returned to his flying unit.
Later, holes were drilled in these types of medallions so that military men could place them around the neck rather than inside leather pouches.

Where the challenge comes from is According to some stories, "the challenge" started after the Second World War in Germany. Americans stationed in Germany began to conduct "pfennig checks," or checks for this particular German coin. If you couldn't produce a pfennig when someone else called a check, you had to buy the beers.
The pfennig check later evolved to a unit medallion check, with unit members challenging one another by slamming their medallions down on a bar. Any member who lacked his medallion had to purchase drinks for everyone else who had their coins. Meanwhile, if everyone could present a medallion, the challenger was the one who had to buy the drinks.
The same essentially applies today.

Given the nature of bending and manipulating the coin into a ring, there is always a possibility of slight imperfections as the silver is heated and formed. This just adds to the the “worn antique” look!  Silver is a softer metal so please be aware that everyday use can put wear on your ring.  It is HIGHLY recommended that you do not engage in strenuous activity while wearing your ring especially anything that will directly impact it. This will keep your ring lasting much longer!

Please fill out the order field for your ring size. These rings are made to order to custom size (Depending on the coin used).

** Due to how large the coin is, This ring comes in size 9-14.**

**Also note that the Antique finish can wear off with over use. We recommend taking the ring off when washing your hands to preserve the finish. Also .999 fine silver is a softer metal so it is advised to avoid hard impact or activities while wearing this ring.**
